No Ticket No Exit

“Empty space, the absence of any human reference, disturbs and intrigues us”

Appointed to carry out a commissioned work on the building of the new T-4 Terminal at Madrid’s Barajas Airport (2005), Urbina discovers and projects the relationship created between man and the mega-infrastructure.

Like an explorer participating in an expedition to the unknown, the author delves into the inner workings of an airport terminal, divested of human figures “depriving the onlooker of any reference and scale,” in order to plunge into the mystery and uncertainty of each lounge, passageway and corner.
